Hello there, Tumblr!
I’m a simple high-school student and currently my school’s Thespian Publicist. I’m a student of Canyon High School, and our theater program is struggling incredibly. Last year, we were kicked out of our old classroom to a much smaller, run-down room and we had to renovate the room into something workable. We need money. Let’s face it, all theater programs do because school districts believe that sports are more important than the arts. But anyway, we wanted to see who could support us by either donating or spreading the word! It only takes a second to reblog if you can.
Your donations will be used to pay for the set, costumes, props, and rent. We need to rent out another school’s performing arts center because we do not have one ourselves, and the school district will not assist in any way for the funds, so we could use all the support we can find.
Our program aims to raise $2,000. We have a link to kickstarter here, and we really need to meet this goal, or we won’t have our performance. Since the musical we are doing is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, we thought the hashtag was appropriate.
